Why is my video still processing?

Every uploaded video is converted to MP4 before it can be posted. Long or large files take longer. The Media library shows Processing video... and the composer shows Processing on the file until it is ready.

What to do#

1. Wait. A few minutes is normal for a long or large video. You can leave the page.
2. Refresh the Media library. The thumbnail appears when the MP4 is ready.
3. If it still says processing after a long time, upload the file again. An upload that stalled mid-transfer is marked failed after a while and does not count against your storage.
4. If a second upload also sticks, tell us in the chat with the file name and size.

Scheduling#

The composer lists Wait for your media to finish uploading under the publish button until the video is ready. Scheduled posts with a video that is still processing wait for it.

Tips#

• Export as MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio) for the fastest processing.
• Keep an eye on the platform limits: Instagram 15 minutes, TikTok 10 minutes, Threads 5 minutes.
• On a phone, a weak connection can slow the upload itself. Try Wi-Fi.
