How do I post to Threads with PostEverywhere?

Connect your Threads profile and publish text posts, images, carousels and videos.

Connect#

1. Open Accounts and click Add Account next to Threads.
2. Sign in and approve PostEverywhere.

Any Threads profile works. Threads connects the profile your browser is signed into, so log out of Threads first to connect a different one.

What you can post#

	Limit
Text	Up to 500 characters. Text-only posts are fine
Images	Up to 10 per post, JPG or PNG, up to 30 MB each
Video	1 per post, up to 5 minutes, MP4 or MOV, up to 250 MB
Mixing	Images or a video, not both

Hashtags (#) and mentions (@) work in the text.

Settings in the post editor#

Open Customise per platform and the Threads card. Under Advanced Settings:

• Threads Tag (Topic): one topic for your post, for example "Photography". Up to 50 characters, no periods or ampersands.
• Link Preview URL: a link that shows as a preview on a text-only post.

First comments are not available on Threads. They work on X, and on YouTube after a one-time reconnect. Everyone can reply to your Threads post; to limit replies, change it in the Threads app after posting.

Tips#

• Threads is text first. Short posts do well.
• Use the topic tag so your post shows in topic feeds.
• Threads tokens last about 60 days. If posts fail with an expired login, click Reconnect on the Accounts page.
