What video formats and sizes can I upload?
MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM, MKV, M4V and 3GP up to 4 GB. Videos are converted to MP4. Per-platform size and length limits, and what happens while processing.
Upload MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM, MKV, M4V or 3GP files up to 4 GB. Every video is converted to MP4 after upload. Some platforms allow smaller files or shorter videos, and the composer tells you when your video is over a limit.
Formats
- Videos: MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM, MKV, M4V, 3GP
- Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, AVIF, SVG (20 MB each by default)
- Documents: PDF (LinkedIn)
Size limits by platform
The upload limit is the smallest limit of the platforms you select.

Length limits
Instagram 3 s to 15 min. TikTok 3 s to 10 min. LinkedIn 3 s to 10 min. Threads up to 5 min. Bluesky up to 3 min. Pinterest 4 s to 15 min. Facebook up to 4 hours. YouTube up to 12 hours. X (Twitter) up to 2 min 20 s without X Premium.
Processing
After upload the video is converted to MP4 and a thumbnail is made. The Media library says Processing video... and the composer shows Processing on the file. You cannot schedule until it is ready. Long or large files take longer.
Tips
- MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio uploads fastest and works everywhere.
- Vertical 9:16 video suits Reels, Shorts, TikTok and Stories. Landscape video posts to Facebook as a regular video.
- A video pin on Pinterest needs a cover image.
