How to schedule Facebook (FB) posts to your Pages

To schedule Facebook posts, connect a Page you manage, write the post message, add photos, a link or a video, choose Reel or Regular Video for video, pick a time and let the Meta Graph API publish it. You can line up weeks of posts for several Pages in one session.

  1. Step 1

    Connect your Facebook Page.

Sign in with Facebook and choose the Pages to add, including Pages that sit in a Business Portfolio. Meta only lets tools publish to Pages, never to personal profiles.

  2. Step 2

    Write the post message.

Type it, or draft it with Write with AI and the AI content generator. Facebook allows very long posts, but short ones usually do better.

    • Add photos, a link or a video. Attach one image or a set of 2 to 10, paste a URL in Share Link for a link post, or add a video and set Video Format to Reel or Regular Video, with a Cover Photo if you want one.
  3. Step 3

    Pick a time.

Use best-time-to-post guidance or send it to the next queue opening, and it publishes to every Page you selected.

Facebook scheduling, answered

What Page owners ask before scheduling Facebook with PostEverywhere

Short answers on Page posts, Reels, link posts, photo sets, Groups and Stories, pricing, analytics, the Facebook API and AI agents.

Can you schedule Facebook posts?

Yes. PostEverywhere schedules Facebook Page posts, link posts, photo sets, Reels and regular videos from one calendar, and publishes each through the Meta Graph API at the time you set.

Facebook's own schedule feature lives in Meta Business Suite: it is free, handles one post at a time and stops about 29 to 30 days out in practice. PostEverywhere has no horizon of its own (the time only has to be in the future, because posts wait on our servers until then), so a quarter ahead is fine, and it adds bulk upload, several Pages in one calendar and AI agents.

Scheduling does not lower reach. A post sent through the Graph API is ranked like one typed by hand, on its comments and shares. Facebook adds a small "Published by" line naming the tool, but only the Page's admins and editors see it, as with every scheduler.

How do I schedule a post on Facebook?

In PostEverywhere, connect your Page, write the post, add a photo, link or video, then pick a time or the next queue opening; it publishes to every Page you selected. In Meta Business Suite, you create the post, choose Schedule from the arrow beside Publish and set the date.

In PostEverywhere the composer covers:

  • A post message of up to 63,206 characters, written yourself or with Write with AI.
  • One photo, a set of 2 to 10, a Share Link, a video, or nothing at all for a text update.
  • Video Format set to Reel or Regular Video, plus an uploaded Cover Photo.
  • Any mix of the Pages you have connected, each publishing its own copy.

Can you schedule Facebook Reels?

Yes. Add a video in PostEverywhere and keep Video Format on Reel, the default; switch to Regular Video for landscape footage such as a talk or a tour. A landscape file left on Reel goes out as a regular video anyway.

Facebook takes up to 30 Reels per Page per day, and you can upload your own Cover Photo, since Facebook does not accept a picked frame through the API. Already posting Reels on Instagram? Send the same file to both in one post, as in cross-posting Instagram Reels to Facebook Reels.

Can I schedule Facebook link posts with a preview?

Yes. Paste the URL in Share Link and PostEverywhere publishes a Facebook link post; Facebook builds the preview card from the linked page's title and image tags at the moment it goes live.

If you change the destination page after scheduling, update the link in the post as well. When reach matters more than the click, a photo or Reel with the link in the message usually travels further than a bare link card.

Can I post several photos in one Facebook post?

Yes. Attach between 2 and 10 images, each up to 30 MB, and PostEverywhere publishes them together as one Page post.

Photo sets suit an event recap, a new menu or a before-and-after; for sizes that do not get cropped in the feed, see Facebook aspect ratios.

Can I schedule to Facebook Groups or Stories?

No. No third-party tool can publish into Facebook Groups, PostEverywhere included, because Meta retired the Groups API in April 2024 and with it the permission schedulers relied on. PostEverywhere does not schedule Facebook Stories either.

Post in a Group natively, and post Stories in the Facebook app or Meta Business Suite. For using Groups well, read Facebook Groups for business. Pages, including Business Portfolio Pages, are where scheduled posts go.

What is the best Facebook scheduler for Pages?

For most businesses and agencies it is PostEverywhere: Page posts, link posts, photo sets and Reels to every Page you manage from one calendar, next to all your other platforms, from $9 a month, with ChatGPT, Claude or any MCP client able to schedule through the hosted MCP server and the API on every plan.

The comparison table lines it up against Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite, SocialBee, Later, Loomly, Publer, Sendible, Vista Social and Sprout Social. If you post only to Facebook and Instagram and want to pay nothing, Meta Business Suite covers the basics.

Is there a free Facebook scheduler besides Meta Business Suite?

Yes: Meta Business Suite is free and schedules Facebook Page posts, Reels and Stories plus Instagram, one at a time and roughly 30 days ahead. Buffer and Publer also offer free versions for a few accounts. PostEverywhere itself has no free plan.

PostEverywhere runs from $9 a month for 2 connected accounts to $39 a month for 20 accounts and 5 workspaces. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a card to begin, owe $0 that day and can cancel at any point in the trial. The pricing page has the full breakdown.

Is there a Facebook planner and content calendar for all my Pages?

Yes. The PostEverywhere content calendar is a Facebook planner: posts for every Page you connect sit in one week or month view, with a filter for a single Page.

Drag a post to reschedule it, or set queue openings so new Page posts take the next free slot. For a month of material, pick from 100 Facebook content ideas.

What Facebook analytics does PostEverywhere show, and why no reach?

Within what Facebook shares: PostEverywhere Analytics shows likes, comments, shares and clicks for each post, plus views on every video and Reel.

Facebook does not give outside tools post reach or impressions, so those stay in Meta's Insights. The 28-day Page totals appear on the account panel, and Facebook metrics and KPIs explains which numbers to watch.

Can I schedule to multiple Facebook Pages?

Yes. Select several Pages in the PostEverywhere composer and each publishes the post at the same moment; connect as many Pages as your plan allows, up to 20 accounts on Scale.

Any Page your Facebook login manages can be added, including Pages owned by a Business Portfolio. Personal profiles cannot be scheduled to by any tool, because Meta's API only publishes to Pages.

Why can't I schedule to my Facebook Page anymore?

Usually the target is something Meta does not allow tools to publish to, or the access has changed. Check these:

  • A personal profile or a Group as the destination, which no tool can post to.
  • A date past the roughly 30-day limit in Meta Business Suite.
  • A lost admin or editor role on the Page.
  • A Page shown under Need Attention in PostEverywhere, which just needs reconnecting.

Can I auto post to a Facebook Page?

Yes. PostEverywhere auto-posts to Facebook Pages: each post publishes at its time through the Graph API with no phone prompt to confirm.

To automate a whole Page, fill queue openings once, upload a month of posts by .csv with one row per Page, call the REST API from your own system, or let an AI agent write and schedule them. To post the same thing on Instagram, see posting to Instagram and Facebook at the same time.

How do I see scheduled posts on Facebook?

In PostEverywhere, open the content calendar or the All Posts list. Posts scheduled here wait in PostEverywhere and publish through Meta’s official API at their time, so they appear in your calendar, labelled by Page, rather than in Meta Business Suite’s scheduled list.

Click a post to change the text, move it to another day or delete it before it goes out. Afterwards it shows as published, or as failed with the reason Facebook gave so you can fix it and retry.

Is there a Facebook post scheduler app?

Yes. The PostEverywhere iPhone app schedules posts to your Facebook Pages alongside your other accounts. On any other phone, the PostEverywhere web app works in the browser, so you can check the week and fix a caption wherever you are.

Can I post to Facebook Pages from my own code?

Yes. Meta's official one is the Meta Graph API, and PostEverywhere's REST API sits on top of it, so one POST /v1/posts request publishes or schedules a text post, link, photo set, Reel or video to your Pages.

Calling Meta directly means creating a Meta app, getting Page publishing permissions through Meta's app review, and managing Page access tokens. With PostEverywhere the Page admin connects once and your code sends the post, on every plan. Every field is in the Facebook API guide, and how to post to Facebook with an API builds a request step by step.

Is there a Facebook MCP server for Pages?

Yes. PostEverywhere's hosted MCP server at mcp.posteverywhere.ai/mcp lets any MCP client publish and schedule posts to the Facebook Pages you have connected, through the Graph API.

Your agent picks Pages by name, sends text, links, photos or Reels, and checks results or retries a failed post. Setup for each client is on the AI agents page.

Can ChatGPT or Claude post to my Facebook Page?

Yes, through PostEverywhere. Add the connector in Claude or a custom connector in ChatGPT, then ask it to write and publish or schedule a Page post, link post or Reel.

It posts only to Pages, never to a personal profile. Ask for a draft when you want to check the wording first, and add a video Cover Photo yourself in the composer. Cursor and any other MCP client connect the same way.

Share Link and Video Format

Schedule Page posts, Reels and videos, with Reel or Regular Video set per upload

Facebook is one of the few networks where a plain text update, a link share and a long landscape video all belong on the same Page. Write the post message, paste a Share Link or attach media, and choose the Video Format for each clip. It goes out on schedule through the Meta Graph API.

Page posts and link posts.
Text, photos or a shared link, with Facebook’s own preview card built at publish time.
Photo sets of up to 10.
Post a single picture or a set of 2 to 10 images in one Page post, ideal for an event recap or a new menu.
Reel or Regular Video.
Reel is the default for vertical clips; switch to Regular Video for landscape footage such as a talk or a tour. Pages can take up to 30 Reels a day.

A month of Page posts at a glance

Plan your Facebook content calendar for every Page, from bake lists to Reels

A Page that only posts when someone remembers goes quiet for days. Lay out the month in the content calendar, with each Page’s posts on their days, and the empty Wednesday shows up long before your followers notice it. When a promotion moves, drag the post; when a new idea arrives, the posting queue gives it the next opening.

Every Page on one calendar.
Filter to a single location or see all of them together, so two branches never post the same offer on the same morning.
Mixed formats, planned.
Text updates, link posts, photo sets and Reels sit side by side, so the week does not turn into five links in a row.

Why use a Facebook scheduler

Why consistent Facebook posting pays off

A Facebook Page that posts on a steady rhythm stays in its followers’ feeds; one that posts in bursts drops out between them. A social media scheduler lets you write a week of Page posts in one session and still have them land at lunchtime and in the evening, when your community is scrolling.

General starting points, not measured from your audience.

  • Conversation beats a passing like. Facebook ranks posts on meaningful interactions: a comment thread counts for far more than a like, and a share between friends counts for most of all. That is why a question, a local tip or a behind-the-scenes Reel tends to outperform a bare announcement. Our guide to how the Facebook algorithm works explains each signal.

  • Native media usually travels further than a bare link. If reach matters, post a photo or Reel and put the link in the post message, and save Share Link posts for the times the click is the whole point.

  • Every location can get its own version. The same campaign often needs to go out on each branch’s Page with local details such as opening hours or a regional offer. Bulk scheduling handles it with one .csv row per Page, up to 200 posts per upload, so each Page publishes its own version on schedule.

  • Check link posts before they go out. Facebook builds the preview card from the linked page’s title and image tags at the moment the post publishes, so if you change the destination page after scheduling, refresh the link in the post too. See our guide to the best time to post on Facebook for where to put your queue openings.

  • Boosting stays separate. Schedule the organic post here, then boost the ones that take off from Ads Manager once they are live, so your ad budget follows posts that already proved themselves.

  • Your Page post can travel too. Facebook gets its own openings in the posting queue, and cross-posting sends the same idea to your other accounts with its own caption, from Instagram and Threads to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram, Discord and Google Business Profile.

Facebook MCP server: your agent publishes to your Pages

A Facebook MCP server lets an assistant publish to your Pages through the Meta Graph API, so scheduling a post becomes something you describe rather than something you click. PostEverywhere’s hosted server works with ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and any MCP client. Setup for each assistant is on the AI agents page.

Pages by name.
Say “post this to the Riverside Page” and the agent picks that Page from your connected accounts.
Text, links and Reels.
A text update needs no media, a link gets Facebook’s preview card, and a vertical video can go out as a Reel.
Publish, schedule or draft.
Give no time and the Page post goes out now; give a time and it is scheduled; ask for a draft and it waits in the calendar for your review.
Pages, never profiles.
Meta’s API only publishes to Pages you manage, so the agent cannot post to a personal timeline.
Video covers by hand.
An agent cannot attach a Cover Photo, so add one in the composer before a Regular Video goes out.

Facebook API

Post to Facebook Pages from your own code: text, links, photos and Reels from one endpoint

A single POST /v1/posts request publishes or schedules a Page post through the Meta Graph API, without your own Meta app, its review or Page tokens to refresh. The create_post MCP tool accepts exactly the same body.
