What are AI credits and how do they work?

AI credits pay for everything the AI makes: captions, images and videos. Each plan includes credits every month. Monthly credits reset with your billing period and do not roll over. Credits you buy never expire.

The free trial includes 25 credits in total.

How credits are spent#

• The cost is shown before you generate. See the AI credit costs article for the table.
• Monthly credits are used first, then purchased credits.
• A failed generation refunds its credits automatically.

Check your balance#

The credit counter is at the top of AI Studio. Settings > Usage shows what you have used this period.

Get more credits#

• Buy a pack that never expires: 100 credits for $5, 500 for $20, 2,000 for $60, or a Custom amount from 50 to 10,000. Click the credit counter in AI Studio to open Add AI credits.
• Add 100 credits every month for $5 a month on a paid plan. They reset with your plan credits. Go to Settings > Billing > Add-ons or Settings > Usage.
• Upgrade your plan in Settings > Plans.

Add-ons are not available during the free trial or on plans bought through the iPhone App Store. Only the account owner can buy them.
