Add PostEverywhere from Claude's connector directory
PostEverywhere is listed in Claude's connector directory, so most people never type an address. Claude signs in to your PostEverywhere account through your browser, which means there is no key to create, copy or store. If you would rather add it by hand, the custom connector route in step four does exactly the same job.
- 1
Open the PostEverywhere listing.
While signed in to Claude, open PostEverywhere in Claude's directory and add it to your account.
- 2
Sign in and approve.
Claude opens a PostEverywhere sign-in page. Log in with your normal account, then click Approve on the “Connect to PostEverywhere” screen. Approving creates a revocable access key you can see or delete later on the Developers page of the dashboard.
- 3
Check it worked.
Start a new chat, make sure PostEverywhere is switched on in the tools menu at the bottom left of the message box, and ask “Show me my connected social accounts on PostEverywhere.” Claude lists your linked accounts and their status.
- 4
Or add it as a custom connector.
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, press + and choose Add custom connector. Name it PostEverywhere, paste the address below and click Add. Leave the advanced fields for a client ID and secret empty, because Claude registers itself. Then sign in and approve as in step two.

What you need to connect Claude to social media
Any Claude plan works. A free Claude account can add one custom connector, which is all this needs. On Team and Enterprise, only an Owner can add a connector: if you cannot see Add custom connector, ask an Owner to add PostEverywhere under Organization settings, then each member connects their own account. On the PostEverywhere side you need an account with at least one social profile connected under Accounts; the connector is included on every plan.
What you can ask
Claude prompts to schedule social media posts from any Claude chat
Plain English is the interface. Claude reads your connected accounts and each network’s rules before it writes, then calls the PostEverywhere tools to schedule, save drafts, move posts or check what went out. These requests map straight onto real tools.
“Draft next week’s five posts but save them as drafts. Do not schedule anything until I say so.”
Creates drafts you review in the calendar, then schedules the ones you approve in chat.
“Rewrite this draft as an Instagram caption, an X (Twitter) post under 280 characters and a Threads version, and schedule all three for tomorrow at 8am.”
One message, three platform-specific versions, scheduled together.
“What is scheduled for next week? Move anything on Saturday to Monday at 9am.”
Lists your upcoming posts and updates the times of the ones you name.
“Did anything fail to publish this week? Tell me why and retry it.”
Reads the per-platform results and retries failed posts once the cause is fixed.
“Which of my accounts need reconnecting before Friday’s posts go out?”
Runs an account health check so an expired login does not eat a scheduled post.
“Check my posting queue and put these three posts into its next openings.”
Reads your queue’s upcoming openings and schedules each post into one.
Skills for Claude
Claude social media skills from the PostEverywhere plugin
Skills are short instruction files that teach Claude how to do one social media job well with PostEverywhere: plan a month, repurpose an article, keep your voice, write the weekly report. Add the plugin marketplace once and Claude reaches for the matching skill on its own whenever a request fits, working through the connector you already added.
Install for Claude
Add the plugin marketplace in Claude, and the skills load alongside the PostEverywhere connector.

Your calendar
Review every Claude post in your PostEverywhere calendar, from web or mobile
Whatever Claude schedules shows up in the same calendar your team already uses, marked Scheduled until it goes out and Posted once it has. Open any post to change a word, swap an image or pick a new time. Posts publish through each network’s official API, so nothing is scraped and no social password ever reaches Claude.
- Drafts first, if you like.
- Ask Claude to save posts as drafts. They sit in the calendar with a Draft status until you schedule them, in chat or in the app.
- Per-platform edits.
- Use Customise per platform in the composer to adjust one network’s version without touching the others.
- Clear statuses.
- Scheduled, Publishing, Posted and Failed tell you where every Claude post stands at a glance.

Example data
Images come from AI Studio, not from Claude. Through Claude, PostEverywhere offers 37 tools. Image generation is the one tool left out, so create artwork in AI Studio or import it from a public link, then ask Claude to attach it.
Desktop, mobile and Team plans. The connector follows your Claude account. Add it once on the web and it is there in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps wherever connectors are enabled, so you can check Thursday’s posts from your phone. On Team and Enterprise an Owner adds it for the organisation first.
The connector does not show in a chat. Open the tools menu at the bottom left of the message box and switch PostEverywhere on for that conversation. On Team or Enterprise, check an Owner has added it under Organization settings.
Claude asks before it acts. Claude asks for permission before it runs a PostEverywhere tool, and you choose whether to allow it once or every time. Keep the prompts on while you get used to the results, then relax them when the output is reliably right.
A scheduled post failed. Ask Claude to check account health. The usual cause is an expired login on the network, fixed by reconnecting that profile under Accounts. Then ask Claude to retry the failed post.
Facebook Groups are not reachable. Meta retired the Groups API in April 2024, so no outside tool can post to Groups. Facebook Pages and every other connected account work as normal.
Revoking access. Remove the connector in Claude and delete its key on the Developers page. Your social accounts stay connected to PostEverywhere and posts already scheduled still go out, because the queue lives in PostEverywhere, not in the chat.

One request, one result per accountExample data
Connecting PostEverywhere closes that gap. The same conversation that wrote the post can schedule it, check it fits each network, and tell you what is already queued for the week. Asking “what did we post about pricing this month?” before planning the next batch becomes a normal part of the workflow rather than a trip through five dashboards. Our guide to using Claude for social media writing covers the drafting side in depth.
PostEverywhere does the parts Claude should not: it holds the authorised connections to your accounts, applies each platform’s limits and publishes through official APIs. Claude reasons about what to say and when; PostEverywhere makes sure it actually goes out. That split is also what keeps the setup safe, because Claude never sees a social password and the key it uses can be revoked in one click.
Choosing other tools to pair with it? Our roundup of Claude connectors for marketing teams covers the ones worth adding next, and safe agent access to social accounts explains the permission model in more detail.

FAQ
Claude social media FAQ
Straight answers about plans, platforms and how scheduling works.
Can Claude post to social media?
Not on its own. Claude has no built-in social integrations, so it needs a connector. With PostEverywhere added, Claude can create, schedule and publish posts to Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), Threads, Facebook and the rest of the platforms you connect, and PostEverywhere publishes them through each network’s official API.
Is PostEverywhere in Claude's connector directory?
Yes. Open claude.ai/directory/posteverywhere while signed in and add it in one click, or find it among the connectors inside Claude. Adding it by address as a custom connector still works the same way.
How do I add a custom connector in Claude?
Open Customize, then Connectors, press +, and choose Add custom connector. Paste https://mcp.posteverywhere.ai as the address, leave the client ID and secret empty, click Add, then sign in to PostEverywhere and approve.
Which Claude plans can add the connector?
All of them. A free Claude account can add one custom connector, which covers this. Pro and Max users can add more. On Team and Enterprise an Owner adds it under Organization settings, and then each member connects their own PostEverywhere login.
Can I connect LinkedIn to Claude?
Yes, through PostEverywhere. Connect your LinkedIn profile or company page under Accounts in PostEverywhere, then ask Claude to draft and schedule LinkedIn posts. Claude never logs in to LinkedIn itself.
Can Claude make images for my posts?
Not through this connector. The Claude version has 37 tools and image generation is not one of them. Make images in AI Studio or import them from a public URL, and Claude can attach them to the posts it schedules.
Does Claude need an API key for PostEverywhere?
No. You sign in to PostEverywhere in your browser and approve access. That creates a key behind the scenes, listed on the Developers page, which you can delete at any time to cut Claude off.
Is there a free trial?
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a card to begin, nothing is charged today, and you can cancel before the week is up. There is no free plan, and the Claude connector is included on every plan from Lite upward.
