How do I post to Facebook with PostEverywhere?
Connect a Facebook Page and publish text, photos, videos and Reels. Pages only, no personal profiles or groups, and no Facebook Stories.
Updated 23 October 2026
Connect your Facebook Page and PostEverywhere publishes text posts, photos, videos and Reels to it. Personal profiles, groups and Facebook Stories are not supported.
Connect
- Open Accounts and click Add Account next to Facebook.
- Facebook signs you in as yourself first. That is how it checks which Pages you manage.
- On the next screen, tick every Page you want. Keep Pages access switched on.
- Allow access to the Instagram accounts linked to those Pages if you want them connected too.
You need a Facebook Page and an admin role on it. If Facebook lists no Pages, see Facebook shows no Pages when I connect.
What you can post
| Limit | |
|---|---|
| Text | Up to 63,206 characters. Text-only posts are fine |
| Photos | Up to 10 per post, JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP and more, up to 30 MB each |
| Video | 1 per post, up to 4 hours, up to 10 GB. MP4 or MOV work best |
| Photos and a video together | Not allowed in one post |
| Stories | Not supported |
Settings in the post editor
Open Customise per platform and the Facebook card.
- Message: the text for this Page.
- Video Format: Reel (recommended for vertical video) or Regular Video. Landscape videos always post as a regular video.
- Share Link: a URL that shows a link preview. Only text and single-photo posts can carry a share link, so the field hides for videos, Reels and multi-photo posts.
First comments are not available on Facebook. They work on X (Twitter) and YouTube.
Good to know
- "Published by [name] · PostEverywhere" appears on Page posts made with any scheduling tool. Only Page admins and editors see it. Followers and the public see a normal post. Check by opening the post in a private window while logged out.
- "Confirm your identity before you can publish as this Page": Facebook wants the connected Facebook account to have two-factor authentication and a Page role. Turn on two-factor authentication on facebook.com, confirm your role, then Reconnect.
- "We limit how often you can post": Facebook's own spam limit for the Page. Wait and try again later.
- Posting to a group or a personal profile is not possible through Facebook's API.
