Connecting accounts
Facebook shows no Pages when I connect. What do I do?
Facebook only lists Pages your login has a role on, and it remembers an empty choice. Fix the Page role or the tick in Facebook settings, then retry.
Facebook only hands over Pages that your Facebook login has a role on, and it remembers the choice you made the first time. If no Page was ticked, or your login only manages the Page through a Business Portfolio, Facebook keeps returning no Pages on every retry. The fix is in Facebook's settings, not in another retry.
First, check how Facebook signs you in
Facebook always signs you in as yourself first. That is how it checks which Pages you manage. The Page is chosen on the second screen. This is normal and does not mean PostEverywhere will post to your personal profile. It cannot.
Case 1: You ticked no Pages the first time
Facebook never shows the Page chooser again by itself. Change the choice in Facebook's settings:
- Open Facebook Settings, then Business integrations (also called Apps and websites or Business tools). Direct link: facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools.
- Find PostEverywhere. Click View and edit, tick your Page, and save. If you prefer a clean start, remove PostEverywhere here instead.
- Back in PostEverywhere, click Add Account next to Facebook again. If you removed the app, Facebook now shows the Page chooser. Tick all your Pages.
Case 2: Your Page belongs to a Business Portfolio
This is the most common case. Being an admin of the Business Portfolio is not the same as having a role on the Page. Facebook only lists Pages where your personal login has a Page role.
- Open Business settings in Meta Business Suite: business.facebook.com/latest/settings/pages.
- Choose Pages, then your Page, then People.
- Give your own profile access to the Page, with permission to publish content.
- Back in PostEverywhere, click Add Account next to Facebook. Log in with that same Facebook account and tick the Page.
If someone else owns the portfolio, ask them to do step 3 for you.
Case 3: Some Pages went missing after reconnecting
PostEverywhere tells you which Pages Facebook left out. Click Add Account again, choose Edit previous settings on Facebook's screen, and tick all your Pages. If a Page is not in Facebook's list at all, your access to it was removed on Facebook's side. Ask the Page owner to add you as Admin or Editor.
Case 4: Connecting Instagram, not Facebook
If you only want Instagram, use Add Account next to Instagram instead. Instagram connects on its own and needs no Facebook Page.
