Scheduling and publishing

How do I edit, move or delete a scheduled post?

Open the post from the Calendar or All Posts to change text, date or time, drag it to move it, or delete it. Use Duplicate to change media or accounts.

Updated 23 October 2026

Click the post on the Calendar or on All Posts to open it. You can change the caption, date and time, move it by dragging it on the Calendar, or delete it. To change the media or the accounts, use Duplicate and delete the old post.

Edit the text or time

  1. Click the post. Post Details opens.
  2. Click the edit icon. The caption, date and time become editable.
  3. Change them and click Save Changes.

On All Posts, open the Actions menu and choose Edit Post. You can change Content, Date, Time and Timezone.

Only posts whose platforms are Scheduled or Failed can be edited. A post that is already publishing or posted cannot.

Move a post

  • Drag the post to another day or hour on the Calendar. The details open with the new time. Click Save Changes.
  • Or edit the date and time as above.

You cannot move a post into the past, and only posts whose every platform is still Scheduled can be dragged.

Change media, accounts or per-platform options

The details view does not change media or accounts. Instead:

  1. Open the post and choose Duplicate. A new post opens with the same caption, media and accounts.
  2. Change what you need and choose a time.
  3. Click Schedule, then delete the original post.

Delete a post

  1. Open the post.
  2. Click the delete button and confirm Delete this scheduled post across all platforms? This cannot be undone.

A deleted scheduled post is removed from the queue and does not publish. Deleting a post that is already live removes it from PostEverywhere only, with one exception: for a post live on X (Twitter) you are asked This post is live on X. Also delete it from X? Click OK to delete it on X too, or Cancel to keep it on X.

Retry a failed post

Open the post, read the error, fix the cause and click Retry Failed.
