How do I post to a Discord channel with PostEverywhere?

PostEverywhere posts to a Discord channel through an incoming webhook. Create the webhook in Discord, paste its URL, and you are connected.

Connect#

1. In Discord, open Server Settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks. You need the Manage Webhooks permission on the server.
2. Click New Webhook, pick the channel it posts to, and click Copy Webhook URL.
3. In PostEverywhere, open Accounts and click Add Account next to Discord.
4. Paste the Webhook URL and click Connect. PostEverywhere checks the webhook before saving.

Treat the webhook URL like a password. Anyone with it can post to that channel. Each webhook (channel) counts as one account.

What you can post#

	Limit
Text	Up to 2,000 characters. Text-only posts are fine
Images	Up to 10 per post, JPG, PNG, WEBP or GIF, up to 25 MB each
Video	1 per post. Up to 20 MB uploads as a file. A bigger video is posted as a link to the video instead, and the editor warns you first

Settings in the post editor#

Open Customise per platform and the Discord card.

• Silent post: members receive it without a notification.
• Don't ping @everyone/@here/roles: mentions still show as text, but nobody is notified.
• Name and Avatar URL: show the post under a different name or picture for this message. Leave blank to use the webhook's own.
• Follow-up messages: extra messages sent after the main one.

Troubleshooting#

That does not look like a Discord webhook URL	It should start with https://discord.com/api/webhooks/. Copy the whole URL from Server Settings, Integrations, Webhooks
Discord rejected that webhook. It may have been deleted	Check the webhook still exists in Discord. If not, create a New Webhook, copy the fresh URL, and connect again
Discord webhook is invalid or was deleted (Accounts page)	Create a new webhook and Reconnect with its URL
The video shows as a link	The file is over 20 MB, Discord's upload limit. Compress it to post it as a file
