What you can post
| Limit | |
|---|---|
| Text | Up to 3,000 characters. Text-only posts are fine |
| Images | Up to 20 per post, JPG or PNG, up to 100 MB each |
| Video | 1 per post, 3 seconds to 10 minutes, up to 5 GB. MP4, MOV, WEBM and more |
| Document | 1 PDF per post, up to 100 MB. Shows as a swipeable carousel |
| Mixing | One type per post. A document cannot go with images or a video, and images cannot go with a video |
Settings in the post editor
Open Customise per platform and the LinkedIn card.
- Visibility: Public, Connections Only (personal profiles only, since a Page has no connections) or LinkedIn Members.
- Disable resharing: stops others reposting.
First comments are not available on LinkedIn. They work on X (Twitter) and YouTube. An @name in your text posts as plain text, not a clickable mention.
Tips
- PDF documents are a popular format on LinkedIn. Export your slides as a PDF and attach it.
- Personal profile posts usually reach more people than Company Page posts.
