Troubleshooting
'Posting too frequently', 'too many posts' and daily upload limits
These messages come from the platform, not PostEverywhere. Wait, then retry, and space posts out. YouTube's upload limit resets after 24 hours.
These messages are the platform telling us it will not accept more posts from that account right now. Nothing is wrong with your post. Wait, then click Retry Failed, and space posts further apart.
Messages
"You're posting too frequently. The platform has temporarily limited how often this account can post."
Facebook or Instagram blocked the account for a few hours because many posts went out in a short window. Wait an hour or two, then retry. Spread the remaining posts over the day.
"You've reached this platform's posting limit for this account."
TikTok caps how many posts an account can publish per day through apps. Wait until the next day, then retry. If you schedule many TikTok videos, spread them across days.
"You've reached this platform's daily upload limit. Try again tomorrow."
YouTube limits how many videos a channel can upload per day. The limit is YouTube's and depends on the channel. Wait 24 hours, then retry. It is not related to your PostEverywhere plan.
"You've hit a posting rate limit on the platform."
A short-term limit. Wait a few minutes and retry.
"Media uploads to X are paused: our X API capacity is temporarily used up."
This one is on our side. Your post is not lost. Retry later, or wait for it to be released.
Facebook link comments
If a comment with a link shows "We limit how often you can post, comment or do other things", that is Facebook's spam protection on comments. The post itself published. Fewer link comments per hour avoids it.
Avoid it next time
- Schedule posts at least a few minutes apart on the same account.
- Use the posting queue in Settings › Posting Queue to spread posts over set times.
- Before a large batch, a connected AI agent can check limits with
get_platform_rules, and the API refuses a post that would hit a known daily cap with apreflight_failederror that suggests the next time that works.
