AI agents and API

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to PostEverywhere

Connect an AI agent such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor from the Agents page. It can then draft, schedule and publish posts for you.

Updated 23 October 2026

Open Agents in the sidebar (app.posteverywhere.ai/agents), pick your AI app and follow the steps shown. Most apps sign in with your PostEverywhere account. No API key is needed.

Steps

  1. Click Agents in the sidebar. Use Find your AI app to search for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another app.
  2. Click the app. The Connect tab shows the steps for that app and the server address to paste: https://mcp.posteverywhere.ai.
  3. Follow the steps in the AI app. When it asks you to sign in, a PostEverywhere page opens. Check the account shown under Signed in as, then click Approve.
  4. Back in the AI app, try the suggested first request, for example "List my connected social accounts".

If you have not started a plan or trial yet, the Approve page sends you to choose one first, then brings you back.

Claude

  1. Click Add PostEverywhere to Claude. This opens PostEverywhere in Claude's connector directory.
  2. Or add it by hand: in Claude open Customize → Connectors, press +, then Add custom connector. Name it PostEverywhere and paste https://mcp.posteverywhere.ai. Press Add, then Connect. Sign in and click Approve.

This works in Claude on the web and in Claude Desktop, and then in the Claude phone apps. Free Claude plans can add one custom connector.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, press +, then Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it PostEverywhere and paste https://mcp.posteverywhere.ai as the Server URL.
  3. Set authentication to OAuth, accept the notice and press Create as a plugin. Then Install it, sign in and approve.

This is web only. You no longer need Developer mode. On a work account, your admin may need to allow custom plugins.

Cursor

  1. Click Add to Cursor, then confirm Install in Cursor.
  2. Approve the sign-in window Cursor opens.

MCP servers are available on Cursor's paid plans. If the button does not open Cursor, the page shows a snippet to paste into ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

What the agent can do

Once connected, the agent can:

  • List your connected accounts and check whether each one can post.
  • Create posts: publish now, schedule for a time, or save as a draft for you to review.
  • Add per-platform text and settings, attach media, upload media from a link, and use your posting queue or best times.
  • List, edit, retry and delete posts, and read per-platform results.
  • Read your Brand Kit, campaigns and an analytics summary.
  • Create a link for you to connect or reconnect a social account.

On the Approve page you see exactly what it is allowed to do: see your connected social accounts, create, schedule and publish posts, upload media and read your analytics. It cannot change your password or billing.

Other apps

The Agents page also lists Grok, Perplexity, Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, n8n, Zapier, Make and many more. For an app that is not listed, choose Any other AI agent and click Copy setup prompt. Paste the prompt into your agent and it connects itself.

Disconnect an agent

Open Developers in the sidebar, go to the API Keys tab and click the bin icon next to the key the agent uses. The agent stops working at once.
