Connect Meta Muse to social media
Meta Muse is a personal AI agent that does the work instead of just answering. Add PostEverywhere as a custom connector and Muse can write, draft, schedule and publish your posts to Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, WordPress and all top platforms, with every post landing in one calendar you control.

Take the recipe reel I saved and turn it into a Sunday post for Instagram and Facebook, plus a short Threads version. Save them as drafts so I can check them first.

How to add PostEverywhere to Muse as a custom connector
Muse gains new abilities through connectors, and you decide which ones it gets. PostEverywhere plugs in through its hosted Model Context Protocol server, the same one the other assistants on this site use. If Muse prefers to build the connection itself, it can do that from our public API description instead. Both routes reach the same account, the same rules and the same rate limits.
- 1
Add the PostEverywhere MCP server in Muse.
Ask Muse to add a custom connector, or open its connector settings, and give it the PostEverywhere server address below. Name it PostEverywhere so you can find it later. Muse keeps the connection for every future conversation.
https://mcp.posteverywhere.ai - 2
Sign in with PostEverywhere.
When Muse asks, sign in to PostEverywhere and approve access. If Muse asks for a key instead, open the Developers page from the sidebar of your PostEverywhere dashboard (it has its own menu item, not under Settings), create a key with the read and write scopes, and add ai if you want Muse to write captions and make images. Keys start with pe_live_. Paste it into Muse’s credential prompt, never into the chat itself.
Authorization: Bearer pe_live_YOUR_KEY - 3
Connect your social accounts.
Link Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and the rest once under Accounts in PostEverywhere, or ask Muse “Give me a link to connect my Instagram account to PostEverywhere.” It sends a one-time link that lasts ten minutes. Telegram, Discord, Bluesky and WordPress connect with credentials, so Muse can add them without a browser step.
- 4
Ask Muse to post.
Try “Schedule this to Instagram and LinkedIn tomorrow at 9am.” Then ask Muse to save the connector as a skill, so the instructions stick and you never repeat the setup message.
- 5
Alternative: let Muse build the connector from our OpenAPI file.
Muse can set up a connection to any service with a public API, using credentials you provide. Send it one message and an API key from the Developers page, and it builds and tests the connector on its own:
Connect PostEverywhere. The API is described at https://developers.posteverywhere.ai/openapi.json and uses a bearer API key. I want you to list my social accounts, draft posts, schedule them, and check publishing results.
What you need before you start
Muse itself, on the web at muse.ai or in the iOS or Android app. Meta is rolling it out in the US first, so the connector screens may not appear yet on every account. On the PostEverywhere side, an account on any plan with at least one social profile linked. PostEverywhere is a custom connector you add yourself; it is not a listing in Muse’s own connector catalogue.
What you can ask
Muse requests that turn into real posts
Muse is built for errands, plans and follow-through, so the best requests read like something you would hand an assistant on a Monday morning. Each one below makes Muse call a PostEverywhere tool, and anything that publishes or deletes waits for your yes when you keep Muse’s approval setting on.
“Draft three posts announcing our Saturday pop-up for Instagram, Facebook and Threads. Keep them as drafts until I say go.”
Nothing goes live until you approve, and the drafts sit in your calendar.
“Make the second draft an Instagram Story instead of a feed post and add the poster from this link.”
Muse imports the image from the link and switches the format for that network only.
“Pin this photo to my Recipes board on Pinterest with a link to the full recipe on our blog.”
Chooses the board and the destination link for the pin.
“Publish this video to TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts now, with a different caption for each.”
One request, three captions written for three audiences.
“Did anything fail last week? Tell me why, and retry only the network that refused it.”
Results come back per network, so one refusal never resends the others.
“Write a WordPress blog post from my notes on the menu change and save it as a draft on the site.”
Blog posts go out through the same connector as your social posts.
Skills for Muse
Save PostEverywhere as a Muse skill, then reuse these prompts
Muse can save a working connection as a skill, so the next request starts from what it already learned instead of from scratch. Once the PostEverywhere connector works, ask Muse to save it as a skill, and add a line of house rules: which accounts to use by default, your time zone, and that publishing and deleting always ask you first. The prompts below are written the way our published PostEverywhere skills run each job.
Use the prompts as written
Copy a prompt into Muse once the connector is saved as a skill. Each prompt links to the PostEverywhere skill it is based on, so you can read the full playbook and paste the parts you like into your Muse skill.

Your calendar
Muse does the errands, your calendar keeps the record
A personal agent works across many apps in a day, so its social posts need a home outside the conversation. Everything Muse drafts, schedules or publishes through PostEverywhere is stored in your calendar with its accounts, its time and a status: Draft, Scheduled, Publishing, Posted or Failed. You can open any post in the app and change it, and your team sees the same plan without needing access to your Muse.
- Drafts you can open anywhere.
- A Muse draft shows up under All Posts in the app, ready to edit on your phone or laptop.
- One schedule for people and agents.
- Posts from Muse sit beside the ones your team wrote, so two people never book the same slot.
- A per-network result.
- After publishing, each account reports its own outcome, so a refusal on one network is easy to spot and fix.

From Muse to Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn and WordPress
Muse never logs in to your social networks. You link each account to PostEverywhere once, and Muse reaches all of them through the one connector. Posts go out through each network’s official API, with a different caption per network when you ask for one.

Example data
Custom connector, not a catalogue listing. You add PostEverywhere to Muse yourself. It does not appear in Muse’s own list of connectors, and nothing on this page should be read as an endorsement by Meta.
Rate limits per key. Each API key gets 60 requests a minute and 1,000 an hour. A busy day of posting is far inside that; for hundreds of posts at once, Muse can send up to 50 in one bulk request, or you can use bulk scheduling.
One workspace per connection. Every request is scoped to the workspace that issued the key or approved the sign-in. Muse cannot see other workspaces, other clients or other customers.
Approval for anything irreversible. Muse asks before sensitive actions. Keep that on for publish and delete, and let it read accounts, drafts and results without asking. Drafts first, then schedule or publish once you have looked.
Keys stay out of the chat. Use Muse’s credential prompt for the key. Meta says Muse has no view of the passwords it stores, and we keep only a hash of each key on our side.
Revoke at any time. Delete the key on the Developers page in PostEverywhere, or disconnect the service in Muse, and the connector stops at once. Posts already scheduled still go out, because they live in PostEverywhere.

One request, one result per accountExample data
It writes for each network, not one size for all. Muse can check a platform’s rules before it writes: the character limit on Threads, the video length on TikTok, the image size Instagram wants. Then it picks the format per account, such as a Reel or Story on Instagram, a Short on YouTube, or a pin on a chosen Pinterest board with its own link.
It starts from what you already saved. Meta built Muse to act on things you collect, like a reel or a recipe you bookmarked. Pair that with PostEverywhere’s link import and Muse can pull an image or video from a public link into your media library and attach it to the post, with no downloading on your side.
It reports back per account. When a post goes to five accounts, each one returns its own result. If one network refuses the file, Muse sees the reason, fixes what it can and retries that network alone, while the other four stay posted.
It keeps an eye on connections. Tokens expire and passwords change. Muse can check whether each linked account can still publish and, when one cannot, send you a reconnect link before your next scheduled post fails.
It can run a campaign, not just a post. Ask for a teaser, a launch-day post, a reminder and a last call, and Muse can group them as one campaign in PostEverywhere so you can move or pause the set together.
You stay the editor. The recommended pattern is simple: Muse drafts, you look, then Muse schedules or publishes. Drafts are ordinary posts in your calendar, so you can also finish them yourself in the app. If you prefer code to conversation, the same actions are open in the social media API.

FAQ
Meta Muse and PostEverywhere questions
Straight answers about plans, platforms and how scheduling works.
What is Meta Muse?
Muse is Meta’s personal AI agent. Rather than only answering questions, it carries out tasks for you, such as filling forms, sending messages or making plans, and asks for approval before sensitive actions. It runs on the web at muse.ai and in the iOS and Android apps, starting in the US.
Can Meta Muse post to Instagram and other social networks?
Yes, once you give it a connector that can publish. With PostEverywhere added as a custom connector, Muse can draft, schedule and publish to Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram, Discord and WordPress, using the accounts you linked to PostEverywhere.
Is PostEverywhere an official Muse connector?
No. PostEverywhere is a custom connector that you add to Muse yourself through our MCP server or our public API description. It is not listed in Muse’s connector catalogue and is not endorsed by Meta.
Does Muse need an API key to use PostEverywhere?
Usually not: when Muse connects to the MCP server you sign in and approve access. If it asks for a key, or you choose the OpenAPI route, create one on the Developers page in your PostEverywhere dashboard with the read and write scopes (plus ai for captions and images) and paste it into Muse’s credential prompt.
Will Muse publish without asking me?
Only if you let it. A post can be published now, scheduled or saved as a draft, and Muse decides based on what you ask. Ask for drafts, and keep Muse’s approval setting on for publishing and deleting, and nothing goes live without your yes.
Can Muse write captions and make images for my posts?
Yes, if the connection has the ai scope. Muse can ask PostEverywhere for caption options and generated images, or use its own writing and attach media you link to. AI images use credits from your PostEverywhere plan.
How do I disconnect Muse from my social accounts?
Revoke the key or the sign-in on the Developers page in PostEverywhere, or disconnect the service in Muse. Your social accounts stay linked to PostEverywhere, so the posts you scheduled still go out and you can keep using the app.
How much does PostEverywhere cost with Muse?
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a card to start, nothing is charged that day, and you can cancel during the first week. There is no free plan, and the MCP server and API that Muse uses are part of every plan, from Lite at $9 a month.
