Can I add a first comment to my post?

On X (Twitter), add a Thread post and it publishes as a reply right after your main post. Other platforms do not post a first comment from the composer today.

X (Twitter)#

1. Select your X account and click Per platform.
2. In the X tab, click Add Thread.
3. Write the follow-up text. It posts as a reply to your main post.

The same follow-up posts also go to Bluesky, Telegram and Discord if those accounts are selected. The X tab says who gets them.

YouTube#

1. Select your YouTube channel and click Per platform.
2. In the YouTube tab, click Show advanced settings.
3. Fill in First comment. It is posted as your channel right after the video.

If the box is missing, the channel needs to be reconnected once on the Accounts page to allow comments and playlists.

Other platforms#

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest and the others do not have a first comment option in the composer today. Put links and hashtags in the caption instead.
