Does the API count against my plan?

The API, MCP server and CLI are included on every plan and during the free trial. There is no monthly post limit. Your plan's account limit, AI credits and storage apply the same way as in the app.

What counts#

• Connected accounts: the same limit as your plan. An agent cannot connect more accounts than the plan allows.
• AI credits: generate_image and generate_caption (and the matching API endpoints) use the AI credits of your plan.
• Storage: media uploaded through the API counts towards your storage.
• Posts: unlimited. Rate limits still apply. See API rate limits.

When access stops#

If the trial ends without a plan, the plan is cancelled, or a payment fails, API calls return 402 subscription_required with a message that says which. Fix it in Settings › Billing.

Check your quota#

GET /v1/me, the get_me tool, or posteverywhere whoami show your plan and what is left of each quota.
