Scheduling and publishing
My post says Posted but I cannot see it on the platform. What should I check?
Use View post in Post Details to open it, then check platform delays, app caches, privacy settings and that you are looking at the right account.
Updated 23 October 2026
Open the post in PostEverywhere and click View post under the platform. It opens the live post. If that works, the post exists and the platform is simply slow to show it or is showing you a cached feed.
Steps
- Open the post from the Calendar or All Posts.
- Under the platform that says Posted, click View post.
- If the post opens, wait a few minutes and refresh the platform app. Close and reopen the Instagram or Facebook app to clear its cache.
- Check you are looking at the same account that is connected to PostEverywhere. The account name is shown under the platform.
Things that hide a post
- TikTok: Who can view this video was set to Friends, Followers or Private (only me). TikTok also reviews new videos before they appear in feeds.
- YouTube: Visibility was Unlisted or Private. YouTube also processes the video before it plays in full quality.
- Instagram: a Story disappears after 24 hours. Reels appear in the Reels tab, not always on the grid at first.
- Facebook: Page posts appear on the Page, not on your personal profile.
- LinkedIn: Visibility was Connections Only.
- Pinterest: new pins can take time to appear in search and feeds. Open the board.
If View post gives an error
The platform may have removed the post after publishing, for example for a policy reason. Check the account's notifications on the platform. If the post is missing with no notice, send us the post from the chat and we will look at the platform's response.
