What's the best Ayrshare alternative? PostEverywhere is the best Ayrshare alternative for developers and AI agents: one REST API, signed webhooks, an open-source Node SDK and CLI, and a hosted MCP server that Claude and ChatGPT can sign in to, all included on every plan from $9 a month instead of Ayrshare's $149 starting price. Among the other Ayrshare alternatives, Zernio suits large per-account fleets, Upload-Post suits video-heavy posting on a budget, and Postiz suits teams that want to self-host.
Ayrshare is the name most developers hit first when they search for a way to post to social networks from code. It earned that spot: it has been API-first for years, its docs are thorough, it lists 14 networks including Reddit, Snapchat and WhatsApp, and its Business plan is built for SaaS products that onboard their own customers' accounts.
If you are building a white-label product for thousands of end users, it is a serious option and this post will say so where it applies.
But most people searching for Ayrshare alternatives are not in that position. They are a developer wiring posting into an internal tool, a small agency automating client accounts, or someone who wants an AI agent to run their social media.
For them, three things usually push them to look elsewhere:
- The entry price. According to Ayrshare's pricing page, Premium is $149 a month for one profile and a single user, with no free trial. Webhooks start on Launch at $299 a month. Profile-based pricing makes sense at SaaS scale and hurts at small scale.
- AI agent access. Ayrshare runs an MCP server with 33 tools, but by its own connection docs it authenticates only with a static
Authorization: Bearerheader. That means it works in Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and n8n, and does not work as a personal connector in claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude mobile. - Quota surprises. The pricing page advertises unlimited posts, while the help center describes a monthly post quota per profile that resets on the 1st (UTC), and failed posts count toward it. Worth checking against your plan before you build retries.
Every price below was checked on each vendor's own pricing page in October 2026. Where a vendor does not publish a figure, this post says so rather than guessing.

1. PostEverywhere: Best Ayrshare Alternative for AI Agents and Developers

Publishes to all top platforms
Why PostEverywhere wins
- It's simple. One composer for every platform: write the post once, tweak the caption per platform, check the live preview for each account and schedule it.
- One flat price, nothing locked away. From $9 a month. Every plan includes unlimited posts, the full API, the hosted MCP server and AI Studio, with no per-channel fees.
- Every top platform in one place. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Threads and Pinterest, plus Bluesky, Telegram, Discord, WordPress and Google Business Profile.
- Your AI agent can run it. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor in about a minute and ask it to plan, write and schedule your posts.
- Create in the same tool. AI Studio makes captions, images and video, so you don't need a second app before you post.
How PostEverywhere works
- Connect your accounts. Link your social accounts once, across all top platforms.
- Create the post. Write it in the composer, make images and video in AI Studio, or ask Claude or ChatGPT to draft and schedule it for you.
- Schedule it everywhere. Tweak the caption for each platform, check every preview, and it goes out on time from one calendar.
Switching from Ayrshare?
| Ayrshare | PostEverywhere | |
|---|---|---|
| What an AI agent can do (MCP) | Publish, analytics, connect accounts (API key only) | Publish, schedule, queue, best time, bulk, retry, connect accounts |
Connect your accounts, then schedule your first post from the composer or ask your AI agent to do it. Your Ayrshare account keeps running until you cancel it.
Built for AI agents
- Agents do the whole job. A full hosted MCP server with up to 44 tools: publish, schedule, use your queue or the best time, bulk-schedule 50 posts at once, check results, retry failures and send links to connect new accounts. Some rival MCP servers only read data or create drafts.
- $29 a month for 10 accounts, flat. Full API and agent access included, with no per-channel, per-seat or per-call fees. The same 10 accounts cost $60 a month on Buffer and $99 per user (billed annually) on Hootsuite.
- Nothing gated. API, MCP and webhooks come with every plan, from Lite. Several rivals keep their API for higher tiers or a sales call.
- Connected in a minute. One click adds PostEverywhere to Claude, with one-click installs for Cursor and VS Code. ChatGPT adds it under Plugins.
Plans: Lite $9 a month (2 accounts), Starter $19 (5), Growth $29 (10), Scale $39 (20). Every plan includes unlimited posts, the full API, the hosted MCP server and AI Studio.
“This tool has truly made my content posting so much easier, I can't work without it. I can schedule my posts days in advance while working on other projects. Set it and forget it.”
Also in PostEverywhere: a posting queue, bulk upload from CSV, approvals, analytics, an API and the iPhone app.
PostEverywhere is the agentic social media scheduler built for AI agents and developers. Where Ayrshare's MCP server needs a client that can send a custom header, PostEverywhere's hosted MCP server takes one URL and a sign-in in Claude or ChatGPT, and the same account gives your own code a REST API, webhooks and an open-source SDK.
Full disclosure: I built PostEverywhere, so weigh this section accordingly. Here is what you actually get as a developer, with nothing hidden behind a higher tier.
One API key, all top platforms. PostEverywhere's social media API publishes and schedules to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram, Discord, WordPress and Google Business Profile through one POST /v1/posts call, with per-platform captions in the same request.
The developer documentation covers authentication, media requirements, errors and pagination, with a guide for each platform.
An MCP server that works where your agent lives. The hosted server exposes 44 tools: create, schedule and bulk-create posts, upload media from a URL, read results, retry failures, manage webhooks, and generate captions and images.
In Claude and ChatGPT you paste the URL and sign in, with no API key to copy. In Claude Code, Cursor or any client with header support, you add your key instead.
The MCP setup guide has the exact commands, and the list of supported AI apps covers the rest.
The developer basics, on every plan. Each API key gets 60 requests a minute and 1,000 an hour, and a 429 carries X-RateLimit-* and Retry-After headers so your code knows how long to wait.
Webhooks are signed with HMAC-SHA256 and cover post, account, media and approval events, including post.failed and account.reconnect_needed. The Node SDK (@posteverywhere/sdk), the CLI and the MCP server are all open source under MIT on GitHub.
Client accounts without a dashboard login. POST /v1/accounts/connect-link mints a signed link that a client opens to connect their own Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok account to your workspace. It expires in 10 minutes and can only ever add an account to the organisation that created it.
For agencies automating a handful of brands, this covers most of what Ayrshare's profile linking is used for.
Approvals and AI generation built in. Drafts can be sent for review through the API with request_approval: true and approved or sent back with a note (approvals are on Starter and above).
Caption and image generation run through the same API and the AI Studio, using your plan's AI credits, so an agent can write, illustrate and schedule a post in one flow.
Pricing: Lite $9/mo (2 accounts), Starter $19/mo (5), Growth $29/mo (10), Scale $39/mo (20). API access and the hosted MCP server are included on all four, with no separate developer tier.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and a card is required. Annual billing takes 20% off.
The catch: PostEverywhere has no free plan, and it is not self-hostable. It does not support Reddit, Snapchat or WhatsApp, which Ayrshare does, and it does not read or reply to comments or DMs, so if your product is an engagement inbox, Ayrshare or Zernio fit better.
The official SDK is Node only; other languages call the REST API directly. And plans top out at 20 accounts on Scale (plus add-on packs), so a SaaS onboarding thousands of end users should look at Ayrshare's Business plan or Zernio's per-account pricing instead.
Want Ayrshare's API without the $149 entry price? PostEverywhere gives you a REST API, webhooks and a hosted MCP server your AI agent can sign in to, on every plan from $9. Start a 7-day trial.
Why Choose PostEverywhere?
If your code, your AI agent and your team all need to post from one account, PostEverywhere is the best choice on this list, because it is the only one that gives you all three on every plan from $9 a month.
- Price of entry. PostEverywhere starts at $9 a month for 2 accounts and $29 for 10. Ayrshare starts at $149 a month for one profile, and webhooks only arrive on Launch at $299.
- AI agents that sign in. PostEverywhere's hosted MCP server works in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, with a sign-in in Claude and ChatGPT. Ayrshare's server authenticates only with a static header, so it does not work as a personal connector in claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude mobile.
- Nothing gated by tier. The REST API, signed webhooks, the hosted MCP server and AI Studio come with every PostEverywhere plan. On Ayrshare, working with profiles through the MCP server needs Business.
- Built for humans too. PostEverywhere adds a content calendar, a posting queue, live previews per account and post approvals on the same account. Upload-Post's plans are built around the API and video processing, with seats capped at 1 on Basic and 2 on Professional.
- No servers to babysit. PostEverywhere is fully hosted with app reviews and tokens handled for you. Self-hosting Postiz means registering your own developer apps for each network and keeping a Docker stack patched.
- Open developer tooling. PostEverywhere's Node SDK, CLI and MCP server are open source (MIT), with no posting cap from PostEverywhere and bulk create of up to 50 posts per call.
Point your code and your agent at the PostEverywhere API, then start a 7-day free trial and connect your accounts in minutes.
2. Zernio (formerly Late): For Per-Account Pricing at Scale

Zernio is the developer API previously known as Late (getlate.dev now redirects to zernio.com). It is the closest like-for-like Ayrshare alternative for products that connect many accounts, because it prices by connected account rather than by plan.
The pricing is graduated: your first 2 connected accounts are free, accounts 3 to 10 cost $6 each a month, 11 to 100 cost $3 each, and anything over 100 costs $1 each.
Posting volume is unlimited, and every feature is included at every tier. So 10 accounts cost $48 a month and 100 accounts cost $318, which undercuts Ayrshare's Business plan by a wide margin at that size.
Zernio also goes further than posting. It covers messaging (Instagram, Facebook and X DMs, WhatsApp, Telegram), comment and review management, and ads on several networks. Its hosted MCP server supports OAuth sign-in as well as API keys, so it works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code, and it loads less common endpoints on demand rather than flooding the agent with tools.
Our comparison of MCP servers for social tools rates each one on this. Rate limits are published: 60 requests a minute on the free tier and 600 on paid usage.
Zernio vs Ayrshare in one line: similar scope, including inbox and ads, at a fraction of the price once you pass a few dozen accounts. For how Zernio stacks up against us on price, MCP and the dashboard, see PostEverywhere vs Zernio.
The catch: the product surface is wide (posting, messaging, ads, phone numbers), which is a lot to evaluate if you only need to publish. Reddit was temporarily unavailable at the time of writing, because Reddit blocked third-party apps.
And the free tier's 60 requests a minute is tight for production, though paid usage gets 600.
3. Upload-Post: For Video-Heavy Posting on a Budget
Upload-Post started as a way to push short videos to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube with one call, and has grown into a general posting API covering 20+ platforms. It is aggressively priced and openly positions itself against Ayrshare.
Its plans are priced by "profile", where one profile can hold one account per platform. There is a free plan with 2 profiles and 10 uploads a month (no TikTok on free), then Basic at $24/month for 5 profiles, Professional at $50/month for 25, Advanced at $147/month for 75 and Business at $438/month for 225. Annual billing cuts those by 40%.
Uploads are unlimited on paid plans, and white-label account linking is included from Professional upward.
For agent work, Upload-Post has an open-source MCP server with 40 tools, available hosted (API key or OAuth) or locally through npm. It ships Python and Node SDKs and official n8n and Make modules, which makes it popular with no-code automation builders, and it features in our Blotato alternatives roundup for n8n users.
If you have ever handled YouTube's resumable uploads yourself, our YouTube upload API guide shows the work a service like this removes.
Upload-Post vs Ayrshare in one line: white-label from $50 and unlimited uploads, for teams that mostly publish video.
The catch: its plans and docs are built around the API and video processing, so check whether it has the review and team features you need before moving people onto it.
Webhook support is not described on its pricing page, so check the docs if you depend on delivery events, and note that seats are capped per plan (1 on Basic, 2 on Professional).
4. Outstand: For Paying by Post Volume
Outstand takes a different pricing angle: you pay for posts, not accounts. The pay-as-you-go plan is $19/month including 3,000 posts, with unlimited connected accounts, then a fraction of a cent per extra post. The Business plan is $129/month for 50,000 posts and explicitly permits reselling.
It covers 12 platforms: X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Vimeo and Reddit. Eight of those run on Outstand's managed app keys; for X, Google Business Profile, Vimeo and Reddit you register your own developer app first.
You can also bring your own OAuth app on any network so your brand shows on the consent screen. Webhooks are signed and retried, and its MCP server exposes 28 tools with API key setup.
Registering your own app is the slow part, as our guide to getting API access on each network shows.
Outstand vs Ayrshare in one line: if you connect lots of accounts but post modestly, volume-based pricing is far cheaper than per-profile pricing.
The catch: no official SDK is listed (the examples are raw HTTP), no numeric rate limits are published (it promises to queue and throttle for you instead, which is harder to plan around than published per-key limits), and four of its platforms need your own developer app, which is exactly the work most people buy a posting API to avoid.
5. bundle.social: For Unlimited Accounts on a Flat Plan
bundle.social is another API-first service, covering 15 platforms including Reddit, Mastodon, Slack and Snapchat. Its pricing is per organisation, with unlimited social accounts on paid plans and limits set by monthly posts instead.
The free plan gives you 3 accounts and 20 posts a month. Pro is $100/month for 10,000 posts and Business is $400/month for 100,000, both with unlimited accounts. One detail to budget for: X usage is billed separately, from $0.015 per post to $0.20 for a post with a link, which mirrors X's own API pricing.
It ships a typed TypeScript SDK, a JSON-first CLI, webhooks and an MCP server published on npm, and offers a white-label setup for products that want their own branded flow.
bundle.social vs Ayrshare in one line: flat pricing with unlimited accounts, for products where the number of connected accounts is unpredictable.
The catch: the jump from free to $100 is steep for a small team, the X surcharges add up for link-heavy posting, and white-label setup is pitched at its Enterprise tier on the pricing page.
Building on a posting API and an AI agent at the same time? PostEverywhere covers both with one account: REST, webhooks and a hosted MCP server, from $9. See the plans.
6. Postiz: For a Self-Hostable Ayrshare Alternative

If what you really want is to own the stack, Postiz is the open-source option. It is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and has more than 37,000 GitHub stars, and you can run the whole app on your own server.
The hosted service is priced by channels: Standard $29/month (5 channels), Team $39 (10), Pro $49 (30) and Ultimate $99 (100), with a 7-day trial and about 20% off annually, per Postiz's pricing page.
Every hosted plan includes a public API, webhooks, a CLI and a hosted MCP server, and the agent features ship there first. Self-hosting is free in licence terms but not in effort: you register your own developer apps for each network and keep a Docker stack patched.
Our Postiz alternatives guide and the PostEverywhere vs Postiz comparison go into that trade-off in detail.
Postiz vs Ayrshare in one line: a scheduler with an API attached rather than an API product, and the only one here you can self-host.
The catch: self-hosting means owning OAuth app reviews and token breakage yourself, and it is a scheduler first, so its API follows the app's channels and customer groups rather than a multi-tenant end-user model.
What 10 connected accounts cost on each Ayrshare alternative
Headline prices hide the pricing model, so here is the same job priced on each tool: one team posting to 10 social accounts.
| Tool | Monthly cost for 10 accounts | How it is counted | What an AI agent can do (MCP) |
|---|---|---|---|
| PostEverywhere | $29 (Growth) | 10 connected accounts, API and MCP included | Publish, schedule, queue, best time, bulk, retry, connect accounts |
| Ayrshare | $149 (one brand) or $299 (up to 10 separate clients) | One profile holds one account per network | Publish, analytics, connect accounts (API key only) |
| Zernio | $48 | 2 free, then 8 × $6 | Has an MCP server |
| Upload-Post | $24 to $50 | 5 profiles on Basic, 25 on Professional | – |
| Outstand | $19 | Unlimited accounts, 3,000 posts included | – |
| bundle.social | $100 | Free covers only 3 accounts | – |
| Postiz (hosted) | $39 (Team) | 10 channels | Draft, schedule, publish |
Outstand and Upload-Post are cheaper on paper for pure posting. PostEverywhere's case is everything else in that $29: a hosted MCP server that works in Claude and ChatGPT, AI caption and image generation, a post approval workflow, a visual calendar for the humans, and webhooks, with no add-ons.
If you only need a pipe, pick the cheapest pipe. If an AI agent or a team is going to work on top of it, compare the whole bill.
How to Choose the Right Ayrshare Alternative
Start with what you are building, not the feature list:
If an AI agent will do the posting, check which clients the MCP server actually authenticates in. Header-only servers (Ayrshare's) work in developer tools but not in claude.ai or ChatGPT's connector settings. PostEverywhere, Zernio and Upload-Post support sign-in.
Our ranking of social media tools for AI agents compares every official server on this.
If you are building a SaaS where your customers connect their own accounts, you need multi-tenant profiles and white-label linking. Ayrshare's Business plan, Zernio and Upload-Post (from Professional) are built for this; PostEverywhere's connect links suit agencies with a set number of brands rather than thousands of end users.
If you post a lot of video, Upload-Post's unlimited uploads and media processing are hard to beat on price. Creators who want a dashboard rather than an API should see our Post Bridge alternatives instead.
If cost per account is the whole question, Outstand (post volume) or Zernio (graduated per account) will usually win at scale.
If you must self-host, Postiz is the only real option on this list.
If you want one tool for your code, your agent and your team, PostEverywhere is the pick: the same account serves the PostEverywhere API, the MCP server and a dashboard with a content calendar and approvals.
The broader best social media APIs roundup covers native platform APIs and no-code options too, and our guide to getting social media API access explains what you skip by not building on each network directly.
What Makes Ayrshare Good (and Where It Falls Short)
Credit where it is due. Ayrshare's documentation is among the best in this category: clear endpoint references, an llms.txt index for AI tools, error explanations, and help-center pages that tell you exactly how quotas reset.
It lists 14 networks, per its supported networks page, including Reddit, Snapchat and WhatsApp that few rivals cover. It ships Node and Python packages plus Bubble, Make, Airtable and Retool guides.
And its Business plan, with tiered per-profile pricing from the 31st profile and an Enterprise tier that talks about roughly $1 per profile at volume, is built for platforms that onboard their own users.
Its MCP tool catalog is also broad: 33 tools across posts, history, analytics, comments, DMs, profiles, webhooks and Facebook and Instagram ads. Engagement features (comments and DMs) are a genuine strength over posting-only APIs.
Where it falls short is the small-to-mid market. One profile for one user costs $149 a month with no trial, webhooks need Launch at $299, and working with profiles and sub-profiles through the MCP server needs Business.
The MCP server's header-only authentication shuts out the AI apps most non-developers use. And the per-profile post quota, where failed posts count and scheduled posts that come due after the limit fail rather than wait, needs care in any retry logic.
For comparison, PostEverywhere's webhook events and limits are the same on every plan.
None of that makes Ayrshare a bad product. It makes it a product priced and shaped for SaaS platforms, which is why most developers and agencies end up comparing alternatives.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Ayrshare alternative?
PostEverywhere is the best Ayrshare alternative for developers and AI agents. It includes a REST API, signed webhooks, an open-source Node SDK and a hosted MCP server that Claude and ChatGPT can sign in to on every plan from $9 a month.
For SaaS products onboarding thousands of end users, Zernio's per-account pricing is the closest like-for-like option.
How much does Ayrshare cost?
As of October 2026, Ayrshare starts at $149 a month for one profile on Premium. Launch is $299 a month for up to 10 profiles, and Business is $599 a month for 30 profiles ($499 billed annually), with tiered per-profile pricing above that. Enterprise is custom.
There is no free plan; Launch has a 28-day free trial.
What is the cheapest Ayrshare alternative?
For pure posting, Outstand at $19 a month for 3,000 posts with unlimited accounts, or Upload-Post at $24 a month for 5 profiles. PostEverywhere starts at $9 a month for 2 accounts and $29 for 10, with the MCP server, webhooks and AI generation included.
Does Ayrshare work with Claude or ChatGPT?
Partly. Ayrshare's MCP server works in Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and n8n, which can send its required Authorization header. Its docs say it cannot authenticate as a personal connector in claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude mobile.
PostEverywhere's hosted MCP server works in Claude and ChatGPT with a sign-in.
Which Ayrshare alternative is best for white-label SaaS products?
Zernio and Upload-Post are the closest alternatives for white-label products. Zernio offers white-label OAuth connect flows with per-account pricing down to $1 an account at volume, and Upload-Post includes white-label linking from its $50 Professional plan.
If you need Reddit, Snapchat or WhatsApp as well, Ayrshare's Business plan remains a strong choice.
Can I migrate from Ayrshare to PostEverywhere?
Yes. Both are REST APIs with Bearer-key authentication and a single post endpoint that takes a list of target accounts, so the change is mostly mapping fields and reconnecting accounts.
Your clients reconnect through a PostEverywhere connect link, and your agent switches to the hosted MCP server. Our Buffer API migration guide shows the same process step by step, and the Instagram scheduling API walkthrough shows the request shape.
Which platforms does Ayrshare support that PostEverywhere does not?
Reddit, Snapchat and WhatsApp. PostEverywhere covers all top platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram, Discord, WordPress and Google Business Profile), and adds Discord and WordPress, which Ayrshare does not list.
Ready to switch your posting API? PostEverywhere gives your code and your AI agent the same account: REST API, webhooks and a hosted MCP server across all top platforms. Start your 7-day trial.
Does Ayrshare have an MCP server?
Yes. Ayrshare's MCP server exposes 33 tools at api.ayrshare.com/mcp and authenticates only with a static Bearer header, so it works in developer clients such as Claude Code and Cursor but not as a personal connector in claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude mobile.
If agent-driven publishing is why you are switching, PostEverywhere's hosted MCP server works in Claude and ChatGPT with a sign-in, has 44 tools and is included on every plan.
