Setup in a minute
How to schedule Bluesky posts
Bluesky accounts connect with an app password rather than an OAuth screen. You create one in Bluesky’s settings, paste it into PostEverywhere with your handle, and from then on scheduling works like any other account.
- AccountsAll Accounts 3Need Attention 0

Step 1
Create an app password.
In Bluesky, open Settings, then App Passwords, and add one named PostEverywhere. It looks like four groups of four characters.

Bluesky content specs and limits: 300-character posts, images and video
| Format | Bluesky limit |
|---|---|
| Text post | Up to 300 characters, with a live count in the composer |
| Image post | Up to 4 images (JPEG, PNG or WebP) |
| Video post | One video, up to 100 MB and 3 minutes |
| Thread | A chain of connected posts written under Thread replies, each up to 300 characters |
| Links, mentions, hashtags | Detected from plain text and made clickable, with no special formatting |
| Alt Text | Add a description to each image in the Alt Text field |
Links in a scheduled post are clickable, but PostEverywhere does not attach a link preview card, and quote posts are not supported. If you reuse visuals from other networks, check our social media aspect ratios reference or the Bluesky image sizes guide first.

Your Bluesky week at a glance
Schedule Bluesky posts from a visual calendar, threads and all
See every scheduled Bluesky post in one content calendar. Write a week of posts on Monday morning, drag one to a better slot when news breaks, and see at a glance which days are still empty.
- Week and month views.
- Each post sits on its day with a preview of the text, so gaps and clusters are obvious.
- Links stay clickable.
- A Tuesday post pointing to your roadmap goes out with a working link but no preview card, so the reason to click belongs in the words.
- Bulk upload.
- Load a month of posts from a CSV with bulk scheduling, media matched by file name.

Thread: what we got wrong
Short-form writing
Generate posts that fit Bluesky’s style
Bluesky rewards plain, conversational posts more than polished marketing copy. AI Studio drafts posts in that register and keeps them inside 300 characters, so you edit a good first version instead of counting characters. See the AI content generator for everything it writes.
- Conversation starters.
- Questions, quick takes and small updates that invite replies rather than broadcast at people.
- Threads from one idea.
- Turn a longer thought into a numbered thread, each part a complete post.
- 2
Bags were priced by weight. Customers told us they buy by cups per week, so we priced it that way.
- 3
Result: fewer half-empty bags going stale in cupboards, and fewer emails asking which size to pick.
- 4
Full write-up on the blog, and we would love to hear what you would change.
Post settings
Set replies, content warnings and alt text before it posts
The Bluesky panel in the composer carries the options that matter on the network, so a scheduled post goes out exactly as it would from the app. Every field is saved with the post and applied at publish time.
- Who can reply.
- Open a post to everybody, or narrow replies for announcements you do not want derailed.
- Content warning.
- Add a label to sensitive images so followers choose whether to see them.
- Language and alt text.
- Tag the post’s language for feed filters and describe each image for screen readers.

Several accounts
All your Bluesky accounts, one dashboard, each on its own app password
Run a personal handle, a brand account and a side project from one Accounts page, each with its own app password. Pick the account per post, or schedule the same news to two of them with different wording. Agencies and teams can see more in multi-account management.
- One app password each.
- Revoke access for one account without touching the others.
- Shared workspace.
- Teammates on plans with extra seats schedule from the same calendar.

General starting points, not measured from your audience.
The posting queue handles the rhythm. Set weekly openings once and every post you add takes the next free slot. The presets are general starting points rather than measured from your followers, and our best time to post on Bluesky guide helps you pick openings that suit your audience.
Scheduling is not the same as going quiet. Use the time it saves to reply, because conversation is what the Bluesky algorithm and the custom feeds reward. If you also run accounts elsewhere, cross-posting lets you write each version separately from one composer.
Developers can schedule Bluesky from code too. The developer API uses the same request for every network, and handles the AT Protocol session and rich-text facets for you.

Connect your AI agent
Or let your AI agent handle Bluesky, from short posts to drafted threads
PostEverywhere is the agentic social media scheduler that works with all AI agents. Connect your assistant to the hosted MCP server and it can write Bluesky posts that respect the 300-character limit, and either post right away, schedule for the hour you ask, or save a draft for you to review. Longer ideas become threads, which it can post now, schedule or save as drafts. The full API is included on every plan.
Building against the protocol yourself instead? Our Bluesky API guide covers the endpoints, rich-text facets and the rate limits that catch most first integrations.
- Connect any AI agent.
- Add PostEverywhere to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Perplexity, Cursor or any other AI app that supports MCP with one address. It takes about a minute.
- Ask in plain English.
- “Write three Bluesky posts from this changelog, each under 300 characters, and schedule one a day at 10am this week.” Your agent writes every post for you.
- It schedules and publishes.
- Your agent can post now, schedule for later or save a draft for you to review. Every post lands in your calendar, and scheduled posts go out on time through each network's official API.

Works with all AI agents
Bluesky MCP server: your agent posts over the AT Protocol
One connector address gives Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client the tools to write and schedule Bluesky posts. It publishes over the AT Protocol on the accounts you connect, it is not made by Bluesky, and setup for each assistant is on the AI agents page.
- Short by default.
- The agent reads Bluesky’s rules before writing, so a post comes back under 300 characters instead of trimmed LinkedIn copy.
- Threads on request.
- Ask for “a five-post thread on our launch” and the agent writes each post under 300 characters; the thread posts or schedules as connected replies.
- Works from the first minute.
- There is no developer approval to wait for on Bluesky, so the agent can schedule as soon as the account is connected.
- Now, later or a draft.
- Give no time and the post goes out now; give a time and it is scheduled; ask for a draft and it waits in the calendar for you to review. Agent posts skip approvals, so say “draft” whenever a person should read it first.
- Check what is coming up.
- Ask “what is scheduled on Bluesky this week?” and the agent lists the posts in your calendar.

FAQ
Bluesky scheduler FAQ
Straight answers about plans, platforms and how scheduling works.
Is it possible to schedule Bluesky posts?
Yes, with a third-party scheduler. Bluesky’s own app has no schedule option, but the open AT Protocol lets a tool like PostEverywhere publish for you. Connect your handle with an app password, write the post and pick the time.
Does Bluesky have scheduling?
Not built in. The Bluesky composer posts immediately. To plan posts ahead you connect a scheduler, which then creates each post on your account at the time you set.
Do scheduled posts get fewer views?
No. A scheduled post is created through the same protocol call as one typed in the app, so it reaches followers and feeds as an ordinary post. Reach comes from replies, reposts and feed relevance, not from how the post was published.
Can I schedule images and videos to Bluesky?
Yes. Schedule up to four images with alt text, or one video up to 100 MB and 3 minutes long.
Can I schedule a Bluesky thread?
Yes. Switch the composer to Thread mode, write each post, and the whole chain publishes in order at the time you choose.
Can I manage multiple Bluesky accounts?
Yes. Connect each account with its own app password and pick which one to post from. Each one counts toward your plan’s account limit, from 2 on Lite to 20 on Scale.
Is it safe to give a scheduler my Bluesky login?
You never should, and PostEverywhere never asks for it. Use an app password instead: it can post for you, it is separate from your login, and you can revoke it in Bluesky’s settings whenever you like.
Can my AI agent schedule Bluesky posts?
Yes. Connect your assistant to PostEverywhere’s MCP server, then ask in plain English for posts on a schedule. It writes threads too, and can post them now, schedule them or save them as drafts. Everything lands in your calendar like any other post.
Can I schedule Bluesky posts for free?
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Bluesky is included on every plan from $9/month, a card is needed to begin, $0 is due today and you can cancel anytime; PostEverywhere has no free plan.
